When I paint a portrait, it isn’t a reproduction of a photo – it’s a creative interpretation through my eyes. I aim for likeness with artistry, capturing expression, colour, and presence in a way that creates connection between the subject and the viewer.

Standard Price: NZD $1,200

Includes: One face in the composition, Canvas size 406×508×38mm (16×20×1.5") on professional-quality stretched canvas, Painted in oils

Optional:

Additional faces: quoted individually

Alternative canvas sizes: quoted individually

Framing: available at extra cost

Deposit: $200 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking

Timeframe: Typically 4–8 weeks

How it works

Photos: Email me clear, well-lit photos of the person you’d like painted. Send a few options — I’m happy to help choose.

Planning: We’ll confirm the composition, colours, mood, and any important details before I begin.

Painting & Delivery: Once the deposit is received, I get to work. When finished, I’ll email you a preview before packaging and delivering your portrait, ready to frame or hang.

Photo Guidelines

For the best result, please provide photos that are:

  • Clear, sharp, and high-resolution

  • Naturally lit, without strong shadows or heavy filters

  • Front-facing or at a natural angle

  • Genuine and relaxed (big posed smiles are for photos - natural expressions are ideal)

  • Supported by multiple images for personality reference
